Coming together to demonstrate love and compassion towards immigrants.

Over 8,000 immigrants have arrived in Chicago since 2022. Many of these immigrants have come seeking asylum in Chicago and have traveled hundreds of miles on foot through treacherous conditions while leaving behind family. They have been bussed by government officials to Chicago and other big cities. Most of them are from South and Central America, Venezuela in particular.

Join us in giving practical help to demonstrate love and compassion to those who have recently entered our country.

Ways to help:

  • Chip in - Many of these immigrants are waiting for temporary or permanent shelter, often staying for weeks, and coming with the clothes on their back. Consider contributing items such as toiletries, basic essentials such as socks and underwear, as well as medicine to help them as they wait for shelter.

  • Connect - One of the main reasons many of these immigrants seek asylum from the United States is the extreme poverty experienced in their home country. As a result, many are seeking work right away in order to send money to family back in their home country. By providing immigrants with referrals to work and earn money, you can bless them tremendously.

  • Contribute - Consider donating to Mission Chicago in order to further the work in working with immigrants. Much of our work consists of feeding, clothing, and transporting immigrants to different locations, such as showering and job sites. We are able to do our work through the generous contribution of others. To contribute, click Donate below or Zelle payments to missionchgo@gmail.com.
